Race Yourself – a wake-up call to think pro-active!

How can we gain a foothold in the VUCA world during this time of uncertainty and develop a feeling of freedom of choice?

There is a key idea that I want to share with you. It is important to loosen up mentally. As an organization, you shouldn’t have a mental block on the idea of remote work. Not now and not in the future.

While switching to remote work and a virtual office often seems daunting, you shouldn’t overlook the positive aspects associated with it. Prepare your organization for this transition, regardless of the industry in which you operate. There is no industry that can survive if it remains inflexible and traditional in its approach.

Use the current “situation of force” as an opportunity to consolidate the right prerequisites for efficient remote work and then optimize it in a second step. This should not only be seen as crisis management, but rather as an investment in the future. By working remotely, you develop the skills as an organization so that you can work more flexible with your employees in the future. This means specifically based on three selected examples:

  • You can enable long-standing and well-working employees who have to work from home for private reasons to do so efficiently. The intensively developed know-how of the employees will not be lost. There are no costs for transferring know-how to new employees.
  • You have access to another pool of potential new hires because the location of the organization is less relevant. This is an enormous advantage, especially for companies that are historically located in rural regions.
  • The working day can be used more efficiently for productive work, since arrivals and departures as well as business trips, which take a lot of time, are only necessary to a small extent.
  • Office buildings can be adapted to the new situation, which saves both investment and running costs. The money saved can be better invested in the innovative strength of the company than in buildings.

Why is there a mental blockage against remote work? Why is my organization fighting for this transition? How do you benefit in the future?

The answers to these questions are simple. The coaching team of New Work Solutions as well as theInnovation Coach are happy to be available for you and help you with further steps!
